Today’s topic. This is your year, let’s hit the ground running. Let’s seriously make shift happen. For me, it’s really easy. It’s understanding and knowing that in order to achieve success; success is such a big word. What do you want to achieve success in? For me, I create a handful of non-negotiables in every area of my life. My personal life, my business life, my financial life, and my health. For me, having those handful of non-negotiables, that is what I pursue diligently to achieve what it is I want to achieve in my year. Inclusive of that, it’s understanding that you have a few sides to this equation of your pursuit for success. There’s the strategic side, then there’s the tactical side.
See the strategic side is the planning. It’s understanding what it is you want to achieve, how it is you’re going to achieve it, what obstacles could potentially exist for you to achieve it, and how you can anticipate avoiding, shifting, adapting, or adjusting to those obstacles. See, strategy is first and foremost necessary when you go into anything. And I’m not talking about putting yourself into analysis paralysis, because let’s face it, there’s no movement there. I’m talking about clarity. I’m talking about strategy. It’s important to have a strategy in anything you go into, because this will avoid the spraying and praying.
