Do limited beliefs hurt your ability to sell, and ultimately your opportunity to achieve success? Do you have limiting beliefs like, “I can’t sell. I don’t know what to do. I don’t have enough time. I’m not good at sales. I’m not good at cold calling. I’m not good at networking. I can’t network. Networking doesn’t work for me – it works for other people, it just doesn’t work for me. I’m not a good sales person. I’m not good at communication.” All of those are limiting beliefs. Let’s talk about limiting beliefs and what’s really holding you back.

Limiting beliefs are conscious and unconscious beliefs that you hold back in one way or another. They’re ideas that at some point in your life you’ve chosen to allow. You’ve basically decided to allow them to limit you. Thoughts that keep you from reaching your full potential, operating at your fullest level of success. All of us have limiting beliefs. Sometimes these beliefs originate from our childhood. Sometimes installed or instilled in us by significant people in our lives, parents, grandparents, friends, family, teachers. Sometimes beliefs are the result of an experience in our life, a trauma or a loss, or a highly emotional state. Others, you know there’s really no obvious explanation where they came from at a conscious level. If we’re going to truly achieve our dreams, our fullest potential, we must allow ourselves to release the limiting beliefs that hold us back. We must set ourselves free from the falsification, the mistruths about our capability, of ourselves and of others.
