Stacey: Ann. Welcome to the show.

Ann: Hey, Stacey. Thank you so much for having me today. I’m looking forward to this conversation.

Stacey: Oh, I am so excited. You know, I know your schedule has been kind of crazy. You travel all over the world. You photograph some of the top names in multiple industries. I am just blessed you took time for myself and our listeners. So I’d really like for them to get to know who Ann is, and your journey. So how did you get into photography?

Ann: Well, I am an immigrant. I came to America in 1984 from Sweden. Even as a young girl, I used to love sitting watching my parents photo albums with all their old pictures, and asked questions. My dad was a drummer in his youth and travelled all over Europe playing in a jazz band. And my mom was really into fashion and clothing. So between that and going into my mom’s closet and dressing up in her clothes, I think I’ve been doing this since I was 5. But my dad used to tell me when I had moved here, “you send such great pictures home all the time. Why don’t you go take a photography class. Maybe that’ll be something that you can do for a living.” I’ve always been in the arts and I was taking art classes at the time, so I said, “Okay, I’ll give it a shot,” and then I took Photography 101 and never looked back. I just fell in love with it.
