Alright, enough of that. Let’s dive into today’s topic. So it’s really important for me to break down what sell without selling really means. I get asked it all the time. Selling without selling is a huge topic. Some people think, “Well, how can I sell if I am not selling? That just makes absolutely no sense to me.” And you’re right, it doesn’t. And I am not saying that there aren’t skillsets necessary as far as sales goes, because there are. It’s just, selling without selling is so much bigger. Selling without selling is about your social and your professional network. Selling without selling is about your mindset. It’s about your motivation. It’s about your authenticity, your congruency. It’s about your why. It’s about who you are, where you go, and how you show up when you get there. It’s about your value system. It’s about the limitations. It’s about how you hold yourself back. It’s about your relationship with money. How were you imprinted? It’s about you, AND it’s about them.
There is a huge human element involved in the business process, in the sales process, in the success process. Yes, do we need skillsets like how to build authentic relationships, how to connect on a human level, how to utilize strong sensory acuity and how to read people. Do we need advanced communication skills, leadership skills, presentation skills, sales skills, negotiation skills, closing skills, follow-up skills, prospecting skills, and marketing skills? We absolutely do. All of that is part of the process of selling without selling. And reality is, when you get really good at understanding the science behind how to sell without ever selling, sales becomes effortless. I hear time and time again, “I hate selling. I am not good at selling. I don’t know how to close people. I can’t sell.” I hear this so many times. And reality is, it all starts with you, and it also starts with how you understand them.
